13th APAT CONVENTION AND EXHIBITION QUEENSLAND
We invite all APAT Australasian members and their friends to join us in Coolangatta for the 13th APAT Convention and Exhibition.
We will be showcasing the excellence of our own Australian Artists and have pleasure in announcing our Feature Artists for the Exhibition and Schools will be SANDRA BERNAITIS, LOUISE HOPPING, DENISE JONES. Sandra is innovative and produces artwork of contemporary creative designs. Louise will showcase her ability to create art of the present with traditional techniques on bone china. Denise will share her extensive knowledge of creating with lustres and new ideas. Demonstrations from many of our other talented porcelain artists will be offered.
In addition to your Exhibition Display OUR THEMED PIECE will be a Vase, Urn or Jug over 22cm high. Subject - Tropical Inspirations. FOR OUR MINIATURE SECTION to add variety to the exhibition we will accept any shape up to 9cm height and width.

This is open to all painters with proceeds to be donated to APAT Convention.

This lovely facility is located right beside the Toukley Bridge on the waterfront at the Wallarah Peace Park, Gorokan.
Morning Tea $3.50. Sausage Sizzle $3 and Beverage $2. Enjoy the numerous Artworks on display at the Gallery. 12.30pm Lunch Break.
There will be a round robin of 'mini' demonstrations happening from arrival time. Try your hand-or-arrange lessons! Free opportunity to paint along!
11am Welcome! followed by a Demonstration of Porcelain Painting by a very popular Sydney Artist, Erica Harrison. Subject: Artists Choice. NB: These methods are quite suitable to other mediums.
ALBANY PORCELAIN ART CAMP

Come to Historic Camp Quaranup Albany Western Australia for the 24th Albany Porcelain Art Camp.
Group 1: Marilyn Barrington. Red Eared Fire-tail Finch. Marilyns students will be painting this striking bird with grasses and choice of backgrounds. Modern and traditional approaches.
Group 2: Brenda Caelli. Grass Tree (Blackboy). A naturalistic painting of this interesting tree with a scene of the Stirling Ranges behind it plus a second piece looking into the details of the seeds and flowers on the 'tail'.
Group 3: Trixie Emery. Elephants. Students choice to paint a realistic or magical elephant with varied exciting backgrounds.
Group 4: Judith Standing. Rich yellow roses with blue cornflowers. Painting in a naturalistic manner, using this lovely combination it will be a lesson on balancing colour, shape and contrasts.

The members of the Australasian Porcelain Art Teachers Vic will be holding an Exhibition of Hand Painted Porcelain at the Kew RSL Hall Cnr Charles Street & Cotham Road Kew. WORKSHOP

A Workshop Painting OWLS
Well known Porcelain Art Tutor Trixie Emery will be visiting Western Australia in April and taking a workshop at the Amenities Building, Bullcreek Primary School. There is plenty of parking off Francisco Street Bullcreek.
Trixie will show two different backgrounds - one with the bird emerging from a hollow tree and another more contempary background using lustres and textures.
Everyone is welcome to this workshop and it will suit all levels of painters. The cost will be approximately $100.00 Aust for the three days of tuition plus firing.
